What is Markup Pricing?

Markup Pricing allows you to set up pricing rules to add a profit margin or markup to the products you import from Amazon. Spreadr can multiply the original Amazon price and/or add a fixed markup amount based on the rules you configure.

Before You Begin

  • Dropshipping Only: Markup Pricing should only be applied to products you intend to dropship. If you run an Amazon Affiliate-only store, you can ignore this feature since Amazon pays you directly.
  • Applies to New Imports: Enabling Markup Pricing automatically applies it to all new products you import via Spreadr. Existing products will not change automatically unless sync rules are updated.

How Markup Pricing Works

You configure rules inside your Spreadr settings. Spreadr processes the final price shown on Shopify using two calculation methods:

  • Multiplier: Multiplies the Amazon price by a set number (e.g., a multiplier of 1.5 converts a $10 item to $15).
  • Fixed Markup: Adds a flat amount to the final price (e.g., adding $3.00 markup to a $10 item converts it to $13).
  • Combined: You can combine both (e.g., multiply by 1.5 and then add $3.00, converting a $10 item to $18).

Tips

  • Configure Rules: Go to Spreadr Settings > Price Markup to set your default multiplier or fixed markup.
  • Auto-sync Integration: If Auto-sync is active, your marked-up products will continue to sync and update on Shopify, always maintaining your configured profit margin when Amazon prices change.
