The Smart App helps you spotlight your product's key features and selling points — so customers can decide faster. This guide walks you through creating your first Highlight.
Before You Begin
- Install and open the Smart App from your Shopify admin.
- Decide what feature or benefit you want to highlight (for example: free shipping, handmade, warranty).
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Start a New Highlight
- Go to the Smart App dashboard.
- Click the Add highlight button.
Step 2: Add Content
- On the Create Highlight page, add the content you want to display.
- Choose an icon, enter text, and optionally add a link.
- Use Dynamic data fields to insert live product information (price, title, inventory, and more).
Step 3: Set Product Rules
- Select which products should show this Highlight.
- Click Add rule to combine multiple conditions (for example: in a specific collection AND in stock).
Step 4: Schedule and Save
- Choose to display the Highlight immediately or schedule it for a future date.
- Click Save.
Expected Result
Your new Highlight is saved and will appear on matching product pages once theme integration is in place.
Tips
- Create separate Highlights for different product categories rather than one generic message.
- Preview on a live product page after saving to confirm rules work correctly.
