Amazon Creators API: Required Settings Upgrade

Amazon has introduced the Amazon Creators API platform and announced that legacy Product Advertising API credentials will be discontinued. Switch to the new API credentials to maintain auto-syncing limits.

Prerequisites

Your Associates account must be reviewed and approved by Amazon to generate Creators API keys. If your account is not accepted yet, request API access by submitting the Associates Contact Us Form. No new affiliate account is needed.

Step-by-Step Sign Up

  1. Log in to Amazon Associates Central and choose Tools > Creators API from the top menu list.

  1. Click Create App.

  1. Enter an application name (e.g. Spreadr App) and click create.

  1. Amazon will generate your keys: Client ID and Client Secret. Download the keys as a CSV.

Adding Keys to Spreadr

  1. Open Shopify Admin and select Apps > Spreadr. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Under Amazon API Credentials, set API Type as Creator API and enter the new Credential ID and Credential Secret. Click Save.
