While Connectr App can import all Products—FBM and FBA—from Amazon Seller Central, you choose how to fulfill Orders placed on your Shopify Store.
Fulfilling orders for FBM products
Fulfilled By Merchant (FBM) means you list on Amazon and ship each order yourself. If a customer orders an FBM product on Shopify, you are responsible for shipping it.
Fulfilling orders for FBA products
With FBA, Amazon stores and ships your inventory. When a customer orders an FBA product on Shopify, you have these options:
A. Ship it yourself
Arrange shipping manually using your preferred carrier.
B. Let Amazon ship on your behalf
Use inventory in Amazon fulfilment centres to ship directly to your Shopify customers. Three methods:
- Shopify Fulfilment by Amazon service: Shopify's built-in FBA integration auto-fulfils orders from Amazon inventory. See Shopify FBA guide.
- Third-party FBA apps: Apps such as Shipr, Bytestand, and FBAShip automate FBA shipping. These can be costly.
- Ship by FBA in Connectr: Let Connectr fulfil Shopify orders using your Amazon FBA account. Import, sync, and fulfilment stay in one app.
Note: We do not recommend setting the Inventory Location to Amazon Marketplace Web in Connectr Push Settings. When this location is used, inventory for FBA products is managed by Amazon, which may overwrite inventory updates from Connectr and cause inventory sync issues. As a result, Connectr cannot reliably update inventory for these products.
