You can round both the decimal digits and the whole-number digits before the decimal point.
How Price Rounding Works
Example 1: End with .00
Suppose the current product price is $45.67 and you increase it by 5%.
Price after 5% increase:
$45.67 + 5% = $47.95
To end the price with .00, the nearest options are: $47.00 or $48.00
Since $48.00 is closer to $47.95, the final price will be: $48.00
Example 2. End with 0.00
Using the same price adjustment:
Price after 5% increase: $45.67 + 5% = $47.95
To end the price with 0.00, the nearest options are: $40.00 or $50.00
Since $50.00 is closer to $47.95, the final price will be: $50.00
Example 3: End with 00.90
Suppose the current product price is $5,645.88 and you increase it by 5%.
Price after 5% increase: $5,645.88 + 5% = $5,928.17
To end the price with 00.90, the nearest options are: $5,900.90 or $6,000.90
Since $5,900.90 is closer to $5,928.17, the final price will be: $5,900.90
Example 4: End with 00.00
Using the same price adjustment:
Price after 5% increase: $5,645.88 + 5% = $5,928.17
To end the price with 00.00, the nearest options are: $5,900.00 or $6,000.00
Since $5,900.00 is closer to $5,928.17, the final price will be: $5,900.00
